                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO CHANGE CONDITIONS FROM ORDINANCE NO. 10213
                   ON A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 215 BROAD STREET,
                   BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST LINE OF BROAD STREET AT
                   WEST 3RD STREET.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to change conditions from Ordinance No. 10213 on:
                A tract of land located at 215 Broad Street, being
                on the southwest line of Broad Street at West 3rd
                Street.  Lot 1, Carta Garage Subdivision, as shown
                by plat of record in plat book 53, page 302, ROHC;
                being part of the property described in deed book
                4475, page 188, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 135K-A-9.1.
               
         so as to delete Condition No. 1 therein on the above-described
         tract and substitute in lieu thereof the following:
              1.   Exterior main building walls shall be no higher
                   than seventy-six feet (76').  Any projection or
                   appurtenance such as elevator shafts, stairtowers,
                   mechanical equipment, entry or decorative corner
                   towers, etc. may be built to a height greater than
                   the exterior walls but not to an additional height
                   which exceeds one-half the height of the main
                   building elevation.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this
         Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its
         passage, as required by law.
